It is very difficult to write this. I received a phone call from Fred and
Diane Dugger's niece and was informed that the family has been in contact
with the state police and they found Diane's iphone and ipad. I will
forward additional information as it comes.

Hi, Kim.

I just googled "fatal RV accident in Arkansas" a few minutes ago.

GMC crashed into a house in Bellefonte, AR in Boone County on Highway 62 Loop. Both GMC (26') and house caught fire. RV occupants fatal, and one other person airlifted to hospital according to Arkansas State Police. Tragic news for sure!

Marge & Randy Van Winkle left here yesterday. They talked frequently
about their extensive travels with Fred and Diane before Tallahassee.
They'll be devastated by this awful news -- as we all are, but their close
association will make it even worse for them.

After the Convention, the Duggers and Van Winkles stayed and visited the
museum etc.
They departed Tallahassee on Sunday.

Here is a more comprehensive story.

I am truly at a loss for anything to express my deep shock and sorrow with.
This loss is personal and my own issues seem trivial by comparison.

Well said. That is how we feel.

We met them during the rally near New Orleans a few years ago. They ended up sitting at a table with us for a lunch IIRC.They were newbies as I think it was their first experience with a GMCMI rally. They seemed to really enjoy it. We enjoyed the brief time we had with them.

Makes one think about makeing the time we all have left count.

Am very sorry to hear of this tragedy.

Front impact fires are fortunately uncommon. According to the article the motorhome burst into flames after hitting the mobile home. It's quite possible that the fire was caused by something inside the mobile home like a gas furnace or stove.
