Hello All.
I've recently completed restoring/rebuilding an 1979 Avion Trailer,
before that I restored a C3 Corvette. I'd like my next project to be a GMC
Motorhome it should combine the hardest parts of both of those projects :)
After looking at all the floor plans I decided that the 1978 Royal with
Rear Twins would be the best option for my family. My 5 yo should fit at
the dinette and my wife (6'0'') and I (6'2'') should fit in the rear
twins? After looking for the last 8 months or so I found one in Louisiana
that looks good, at least the pics online do. The only problem is I am in
Green Bay, WI. Could anyone recommend someone near Oberlin, LA to do the
inspection? Or is anyone nearby willing to do the inspection? I would be
willing to compensate you for you time. Thanks.

Those twins might be a little tight for you. The rear bath Royale has twins also but the curb side bed will accommodate some one a little taller in that your feet could hang over the bed by not being boxed in. Just a thought you might consider.

I heard back from the seller that the beds are about 73 inches long. The same length as the twin beds in our Avion, and we sleep great in there. So that is one less thing to worry about. I'm interested to see if anyone could help me with the inspection. Thanks!

Might be a slow time to get a reply. The GMCMI convention starts Friday in Tallahassee. You might get someone to take a look on their way home west after the convention. There will be some VERY knowledgeable people at the convention from out west.
