Jerry,
During the years we were Alaska residents, I attempted to have custom-built
a 30' diesel pusher coach (to replace our small "C" class coach). The 30'
length was optimum for use in Alaska and the Yukon. Coach manufacturers,
however, insisted on a minimum of 34' to better offset the drivetrain
weight. I declined.
An alternative I considered was an as-new 1976 29' FMC. That was in 1993.
After discovering that only about 1000 were built and that there was
practically no support base for the 700 or so still functional, I declined
again.
Next was an as-new GMC Royale in LaJolla, CA. After researching the GMCMh
history, the number still in use, the support base, owner community, etc. we
bought that coach and had it transported by ocean freighter to Anchorage .
'Still have it today, although updated both cosmetically and mechanically.

Here is an interesting one to watch since the FMC was a direct competitor to
our GMCs and this ad contains a complete set of good photos detailing these
interesting offerings. It also is a good example of how to present your
coach if you want to sell it.

Yes, Ford manyfactured a 460 C.I.D. engine before they started production on the V-10 they now use for trucks. Nice motor. But Mopar never made one. Maybe a stroker from an aftermarket vendor? It's an RB engine.

What’s a 440 .060 over?
Weak, I know...... but it’s gotta be close to 460.
