I'll take them. I will drive down and get them in the next few weeks. Give me an approximate measurement (size) on them. I do not think they will fit in my airplane so driving my Pick up will probably be the way.

That definitely will not be a problem I will have the airplane configured for 2 passenger plus cargo mode. (Back seats removed) I'll leave my co-pilot on the ground and take you up. I really think that tanks these will be too big to fit inside.
I am hoping that they do fit because it is a little over 3 hours to fly vs. over 9.5 hours to drive. (one way)

Ken, we once got an entire Harley chopper (In pieces) in the back of a Cherokee Arrow. Dunno about the tanks, you can't take them apart to any great degree. AA-4 or AA-5?

Weight will not be the issue. Volume/ size will be. Going to have to tape up every last hole in them. Maybe also wrap them in shrink wrap. Empty tanks explode easily. In the back of my pickup I do not care. In the back seat of my airplane I will care. Airplane is certified for open canopy flight for more airflow but this time of year that is out of the question.

I'd go down to the local Airco in TN and buy a bottle of nitrogen and purge it all through the tanks. Then cover the big hole and don't worry. We had an AA-4 in Ocean Springs, but I've never seen another... looks like the AA-5 is the same thing.

Based on those measurements tanks will easily fit OK. Now I just need to get ahead of things here and get down there.
Sorry I did not get back sooner. Got side tracked working on a PT Cruiser replacing struts and tie rod ends. Turned in to a disaster but got it done.
Had one caliper off for clearance and noticed the front pads were thinner than a matchbook cover. Replaced them and when the owner took it home one of the caliper pistons bound up. Had it towed back here last night and now have to go fix that in the morning and hope th eowner did nto burn up the rotor and pads. Owner took it in for an alignment and the one wheel was smoking. In the alignment process the alignment shop said one lower ball joint is bad. So I get to do that also tomorrow also. Brakes get fixed first. Do not know about the ball joint yet.
Went for Sunday morning flyin breakfast running scud to get there. Down to 500 feet AGL. I probably should have went VPR on top. 1.5 hours later came home at 4500 feet with clear above with at least 25 miles visibility. What a difference an hour or two makes.
THE TANKS WILL FIT INSIDE.
