Been reading and looking at pics on the macerator setup and I have a question on the hose that is stored next to the generator. Is that separate and needs to be hooked up to the one that runs from the pump?

That is what I do and it could not be easier to dump. Less than 5 minutes to empty a full black tank after parking next to the dump station. Plus little to no clean up.

The pump does not allow fluid to flow past, so there is no need to
disconnect it.
If yor looking to empy as much as possible, you need to have the Lynn Clark
reducer as it will pick up 30-40% more lower level fluid.
Using the wrong style pump will not be bennificial as it will address only
the first half of a full tank.
Also never use a stand on/off switch as one never know when you need to
shut off. We use the intermitent switch so it will shut off when one
releases the switch.

I’m with Richard. Grey conduit under the coach. (I painted mine black)
I’m thrilled with the “Poop-Shooter”, and the reducer makes it work that much better.
Every year, I fill the tank with ice and go for a ride. It knocks anything that might be sticking loose.
The macerator handles it with aplomb.

Bruce has a good point about relative motion. OR, you can do as I do:
Mount the macerator to the frame and connect it to the tank and its
plumbing with a flexible hose, such as a heavy duty sewer hose (I use a
heavier duty agricultural hose).

I found the PO had mounted the macerator using only some rubber connections. Which failed. I mounted it to a floor rail, using two pieces of 1/32 sheet metal sandwiched together. They have a small amount of flexibility, as does the rubber connection to the outlet pipe. There's a piece of PVC inside the rear bumber that the hose slides into. I may replace it with a longer hose and run it along the frame. When I get in from a trip, next day I run the water tank empty which pretty much fills the black tank. Run the coach up to the gas station and back - along a couple of short steep hills - and the pull the rear close to my dump and lower the airbags and let 'er rip. This seems to get the tank pretty empty.

I have a piece of flexible hose from the plumbing mounted to the tank to the macerator which is mounted the the frame rail.
That relieves much of the stress on the plumbing and the tank.

Interestingly, mine came loose on the way home from a show. Held up by a scrap of rubber connector and the wiring. No skid marks on the unit, but I have to assume I dumped tank coming down I 75. Nobody honked or hollered....

Good info guys. Yikes, did not realize the black tank is not attached to the frame. At first read I had a image of my tank dropping off its mounts when traveling down the road. I know this is not true but still had the image.
So I guess I'm not clear how the hose in the conduit is connected to the hose coming from the pump? Or is it all one hose. Could be still thinking like the old dump hose where you disconnect it and rinse it before you put it back in storage.

Ok got it Bruce, thanks. So do you just rinse out that hose as best as you can before storing it away? I always kept one end of the old dump hose in the dump hole and rinsed diwn the hose with the water hose they provide. Guess you just back rinse this hose when its finish dumping then?

Oh we all our stories in dealing with this stuff. Mine was a time when some friends we were camping with had pulled up and were trying to take a picture of me doing the big dump. I kept telling her she better not, but she kept clicking away with her phone, so I started shooting a water stream from my water hose I was using to rinse to which she paniced thinking it was turd wster and screamed at her driver to GO Go Go! They pealed out with gravel flying everywhere. God my stomache hurt from laughing so hard. Anyhow, will look foreard to this improvement!

I use industrial 3/4” hose with garden hose fittings, and screw a gasketed
brass cap on the end before sliding it into the PVC pipe I strapped under
the coach. Mine extends all the way to the angled strut under the front
clip—about 18 feet.
I pull it out, hold the end high, unscrew the cap, insert into dump
station, run macerator until empty, hold the hose high end again, replace
cap, and slide back into storage. That keeps the nasty stuff inside the
hose.
