Thanks, a few questions.
#1.. how long should the fuel pump prime-button be depressed while priming before starting?
#2.. Is it advised to also depress the primer button while starting the APU?
#3..Once the generator is started and up to speed, does the generator suction feed fuel or does the electric fuel pump run while the generator is running?
Thanks, Scott.

5 - 10 seconds should be enough
#2.. Is it advised to also depress the primer button while starting the APU?
According to Jim Bounds, yes. It sends a full 12 volts to the coil and provides a hotter spark for starting
#3..Once the generator is started and up to speed, does the generator suction feed fuel or does the electric fuel pump run while the generator is running?
The electric fuel pump continues to provide fuel to the carburetor once the generator is running. The gas tank is well below the carburetor, so fuel needs to be pumped up to it.
Thanks, Scott.

1. You can hear the sound change when the pump starts to deadhead. That's how long it needs to be primed, once the floart chamber is full and the valve closed running the pump longer doesn't change things.
2, Shouldn't be needed, if the ignition is on the pump is powered. (If it runs only with the prime button pressed, look at the wiring and the control card)
3. The fuel pump is powered any time the genset is running.

Somehow, my reply was like 'New York, New York' in case you missed it the first time. Sorry 'bout that.
