Bought myself an old radio, but unfortunately, some P.O. cut off the OEM
connector. Anybody know the name or definition of the original connector?

Must be a male, at least 6-port probably originally 8 port. Any help is
greatly appreciated.

This is my recollection of the radio wiring from 70's era GM radios:
There was a 3 pin connector for ground, radio power and dial back light power. The speaker wiring was a separate connector of different sizes depending on whether it was mono, 2 speaker stereo or 4 speaker stereo.

Remember to check if your speakers are grounded and whether your radio required ungrounded speakers.

Besides finding something at an auto wreckers, there are some web sites selling OEM compatible radios and wiring. I tried googling for a site, but I'm away this weekend and this phone web-browsing is not fun. Just google OEM vintage replacement radios or something similar should come up with a site.

I worked in an electronics repair center for many years in my teens and
twenties. It was quite common to solder tinned wires directly to OEM
headunits when harnesses were missing or difficult to find.

How many pins are on the back? Power, Ground, illumination and 4 speaker+?

There are six in the connector, and yes, I'll eventually do the
soldering (or similar) to get around it. Would have been nice to know
the name of these connectors.

Years ago I got one of those connectors for Crutchfield. I do not remember the number but is was not expensive.

Crutchfield is not really an option due to the enormous shipping
expenses to Europe. I'll just go ahead, and either fabricate something
that will allow me to pull out the headunit at will, or just "glue" the
cables together.

Thanks to all who responded. Greatly appreciated.
