Does anyone have any recommendations for day parking with a 21’ travel trailer within walking distance of Horseshoe Falls (Canadian side of Niagara Falls)

I will be passing through the area with my travel trailer and the family would like to spend part of the day at the falls. We are traveling with dogs, thus the reason for needing to be close by.

I’ve read that the casinos accept RVs.

I've been to Niagara Falls several times as a Charter Bus driver. Bus is 40 ft long
I'm of the opinion that you won't find parking within reasonable walking distance of the falls,
However, the good news is, there is or was shuttle service (you have to pay) I believe from some of the parking lots
where you could park your tow vehicle and trailer.
NOT the lots right across the road from the falls.
This time of year parking right at the falls is a GIANT traffic jam.
Stop at the "floral clock"and make sure you are allowed to take your traval trailer down the road to the falls.
Used to cost $40 to take the bus down that road. Customers always paid it to get the good view.
ENJOY the falls. They are spectacular !!!

Les, if your are coming to Niagara Falls soon, its been VERY hot in Southern Ontario.
Too HOT to leave dogs in your trailer unless you have a generator and can run the AC.
If you don't have a way to run the AC , I'd ask about taking the dogs on the shuttle.
I'm sure most dogs used to people won't mind the people and they'll probably like being in the
spray from the falls. Taking the dogs with you to the actual falls may limit where you can go.

Can't help with a place to park your camper.

When we were there several years ago on the Canadian side, Bob took me to
one end of the falls and I walked along them taking my pictures. To save
money, maybe you drop others off and pay one shuttle fee.

They are spectacular!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I am hoping to find parking that is within a reasonable walking distance (up to 1 mile). We need to be able to bring our dogs with us on our walks. We wouldn’t consider leaving them in the trailer in this heat, even though it has AC. Loss of power to the trailer is too risky to leave them unattended. Both dogs are quite social and like public walks amongst people. Being less common breeds, one a Vizsla & the other a Manchester Terrier, they are used to people stopping to ask about them.

My research so far has indicated that at the falls, dogs are not permitted on any attractions, in public buildings, or public transit. That most likely rules out the shuttles.

I will make a few phone calls to verify trailer parking at Rapidsview, as well as a few other potential parking areas. Worst case would be the Niagara Walmart, which is a bit over a 2 mile walk from the falls. OK provided it’s overcast and not excessively hot. Dogs paws won’t do well on scorching hot concrete/asphalt.

Again, thanks for taking the time to respond to my off topic question.

As I wrote: I can confirm that you can park your trailer there. Lots of
space.

And the walk isn't that bad, except to get from the lot itself on the
other side of the street.

So I’ve returned from my visit in the Niagara region. Here is what I found regarding RVs near the falls in 2018.

There are several day parking options for RVs near the falls as previously mentioned here, but very little for overnight parking. Googling helps, but it doesn’t show all the options.

There is one public parking that accepts overnight RVs. this parking is next to the imax cinema, (behind the Skylon Tower). The location is close to the falls, being less than a 15minute walk. They also tolerate outdoor bbqs, leveling jacks, and most basic RVing overnight habits.
Another benefit of this parking is access to a large grassy area to run our dogs (on leash)

Several hotels also offer RV parking, but space is limited, and they frown on outdoor cooking. RV parking at all these locations may involve paying for 2 spots, which can get costly.

If you plan to use your RV to travel to the different attractions, be warned that most attractions can not accommodate RV parking. You must park and either use public transit, walk, or use your towd to get around.
