It would seem delbert lecky is prolific. I checked and so far 47 messages from Delbert.
A quick check shows that it isn't just Emery affected.
There are messages from at the least the following folks supposedly from Delbert via the forum.
Emery Stora
Jerry Work
Tim Conway
Barbara Beiser
Is there a real Delbert?

Sounds like a pretty cool stripper name. And bingo caller name also!
Or maybe they are getting the band back together......

I think the "Barbara Beiser" one is a red herring - the "delbert lecky" post is actually a reply to Barbara's. I still have that message on my system - it was from the *real* Delbert Lecky. Not many messages from that account since 2016 (there was another in March - "West coast trip, will a 3.07 final drive be OK? not towing"). Not sure if they're still reading posts or not. The forum shows zero posts for this user - but the Google Archive shows a few (so it's obviously not posting correctly).
I briefly logged into the admin panel of the email list (I don't go in there VERY often - I'm kind of the backup to the backup) and found a user with an email address containing "delbert", along with an associated forum user (with a different name).
There is one post from last November, regarding the V-Drive ("interesting GMC drivetrain") - I think that was actually from Richard Brown (there is a name for the post in the Google Archive). There appears to be a corresponding forum user - but no other recent posts.
I'm not seeing any "odd" naming in the GMCnet email list feed (other than when a forum post with the incorrect username is replied to). The Google Archive propagates the same info - so if there is a reply that contains this incorrect forum username, it gets "quoted" into the Google Archive.
It's interesting that Emory Stora's email list account does NOT have a forum user associated with it (in Mailman). But the others do. My guess is that Mailman is having an issue trying to send a email list message to the forum and for some reason it (or FUDForum) is picking this username to post under. I'm not sure what happens when this kind of issue occurs - perhaps we're finding out. Or ???
My guess it's a FUDforum (or Mailman) bug. Or perhaps an "undocumented feature".
Nothing very concrete... Might be interesting to track a recent message through the process and see where the oddness occurred.

Well... I noticed it a while ago and always found Delbert's posts to be professional, polite, and informed.
I actually thought that it was Emery with a newly adopted nickname.
Even though I receive the email compilations - I'm pretty much an online forum user.

It is a hack and started on June 29. Notice that all of the users are emailers and do not see their user names. So they do not know that they are affected. I do not want to say more in an open forum so as not to encourage this. It is not hurting anything so I have not contacted the admins. There is an easy fix. I also think I know who is doing this but without admin access I can only guess and not prove or fix it.
Years ago I did ethical hacking engagements primarily for banks, Insurance companies, governments, brokerage houses, etc. This is one of the things we tested for. I found one like this once at a very large Health Insurance company and a bank in South America.
This one is funny and not really hurting anything.

it seemed a little too ironic that the guy writing about multiple accounts of the same user was doing so by using multiple accounts but I figured it was a few people using the same IP at some corporate office or something and maybe even playing games with the noobs.
I LOLed @ 'ethical' and 'banks, Insurance companies, governments, brokerage houses, etc.' being used in the same sentence there.
that email stuff is whacked out though.
