It is hard for me to believe that 20 years ago today, we bought our first and only GMC Motorhome. I joined the GMCNET about 6 months later so make that 19 1/2 years of off and on participation. So far we've put almost 110,000 miles our GMC (total mileage is closing in on 230,000 miles) and we still have not figured out a clever name for it other than "the motorhome". It will be 43 in December and I won't mention how old I will am.

Congrats Richard!
We will have had ours ten years as of a little later this month. We have put approximately 40,000 miles on her. Not bad for a full time working couple. Ours has no name either. After a few early issues, my wife suggested we name it "The Silver Streak of $#!?", but she loves it and loves traveling in it now.

We're coming up on 11 years Columbus Day weekend. Over the years we have tried to make Harvey RV stick, but it never has. We are also around 40K miles. Not bad for working stiffs who have had 3 kids during our period of ownership!

Richard,
Over the last 18+ years we have put 60000 mile on our first coach (1998 thru 2011) and 40000 on the stretch coach ( 2011 thru today). The wife never did name either coach. We enjoy traveling across the country.

Richard, "the motorhome" lol. We just marked 15 years of ownership, but only 30,000 miles for us. Wife retires next year though, so plan on using it much more.

Richard,
It is encouraging to hear of the many years of good adventures you've had with your GMC. Thanks for sharing. We need these "good news" stories to remind us why we work so hard on our coaches. We have had our GMC for almost two years, and only 6000 miles so far. Next March (2019) will be our first GMCMI rally in Tallahassee. I am looking forward to meeting so many people from this forum, so I can say 'Thank you' in person. We've been to several GMC Sunshine Statesmen Rallies here in Florida. What a blast!!
I am a fan of naming our coaches. I think that way they become part of the family. Our GMC is named 'Harry' after the previous, previous owner (yes two owners ago) of our coach who was also a friend of ours. Some of you on here might even remember Harry and Betsy Grant from Pennsylvania.

Congrats! We have had CoRV (a portmanteau of Corvette RV, she handles as good as any RV on the road and her paint job is inspired by the 1978 Indy pace car.) two years and thanks to an accident and two extended stays at the COOP we have only put about 2k miles on her but now we look for excuses to take her out. Story's like yours keep me inspired!
