This is the Onan that I took out of the 78 that we use now. It was replaced by the Onan out of the burned 78. So I want to test run it to check it's condition. I pulled the circuit board out. Used a ohm meter to check the start switch. No continuity. Even tried a cleaner. I've identified the wire to the coil. What wire goes to the starter solenoid? What wires of the 4 that go to the remote start. Can I use? Don't mined buying a new board if it runs good. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale Iowa

Jump 5 to 9 and start it with a screwdriver. I've got some spring loaded switches, they're bat handled instead of rocker but the mechanism is the same. They're wire tab on the bottom instead of PC mount but a piece of wire through the tabs and through the board tight and they work just fine, Less than a dollar each, should I mail you one?

If you absolutely want a switch, then wire one across the pins for the remote start. I'll go look up the pin numbers if you can not find it.
Otherwise just use a screwdriver on the solenoid as Johnny suggested.

Thanks Johnny for mentioning the 5/9 wires. Isn't jumping between those wires. Turn the ignition, and fuel pump on? And using a screw drive on the starter solenoid. It should start. If it runs good. I want to sell it. So I'll have to put an Owan circuit board in it to make things right. Bob Dunahugh
