Jon,
My cruise quit because of the stalk switch failing. I could not cure it. Some nice person (of course and GMCer) here sent my one that worked until I replace the entire system with a period Dana Speedostat (from my parts bins).
Check the functions of the stalk switch, and if it is the problem, I will search my parts for the one I removed.

Matt-
Thank you. However after some prompting from a couple members showed me how easy it was to test the stalk switch. I was under the impression it needed
To come out.
Long story short- it tested fine, and I also learned how to easily test the brake switch as well as the dash light, and make sure the transfucer would click.
So lesson to be learned, you can also test the cruise servo by sucking on it, however the gaping hole on the underside of mine was pretty obvious it was shot.
I now have working cruise with a ebay purchase based on the part number you provided.
I see now I am scheduled to diagnose another club member's coach in september, so i will keep that in mind if I find a problem with his.
Again the gmc community has helped again.
