whats in a name?
is that question a political or religious question in any way? it is, and rather than break the forum
guidelines, I wont elaborate on that, except to say its a big deal.
whats left? not much. should that be the end of this discussion before it even gets started? I think it
should be, because ya can hardly even discuss it without breaking the rules here. its just not that simple.
perhaps the man known as Patric Flowers who established the GMCnet and its guidelines could make an
exception? if so, I could clarify my position but I doubt thats a good idea. its a very touchy subject, as
evidenced by how touchy some of you are about it on the flip side, politics are poloraizing, thats just how it is.
and thats the main reason most discussion groups/forums that are not political or religious ones dont allow
political and religious topics.
so whada y'all say we just drop the name target fixation from here on out? at least in my case and others
who come along and prefer not to use a certain type of name? because I think the ones fixated on it, do not
realize what they are actually asking for. further, I think a persistence in doing so, is a violation of the
guidelines.

From about 1997 to 2002 I followed a home built aircraft forum and was
about to build my own plane. There was one comment that noted the computer
people had handles and the builders had names. I still have a handle but I
did buy a GMC. I need to do a lot more work done on the GMC to really be an
owner. You can still tell who I am from my email address.

Hey Fred -
I doubt the forum keeper will run you off over a name. Or you can stay a number, and we can assign a nicknumber like maybe 2. When you come to a rally, you can put it on the windshield like at the dragstrip, in she polish. As to politics and religion, not spoken here as far as I'm concerned. We're all entitled to our own (faulty) opinions, some of which are based on others' behavior. We're also entitled to keep those opinions - if they don't address GMCs - to ourselves. Simple, huh?
