Do any of you have experience with Lucas Heavy Duty Oil stabilizer? A mechanic had recommended that I use it in one of my old work trucks that has a bit too high oil consumption. Any one here on the forum used this product? Care to share your experience?
Also, to bring the topic back to GMCMH, is it a good product to use in our engines?

If you have to add stuff to your oil, you are buying the wrong oil.
Often adding things upsets the chemistry and degrades the oil's ability to lubricate as well.

Yes, GM, makes a product called EOS. I use it in the break-in oil when
flat tappet camshafts are installed. It drains out with the oil when 500
miles are on the clock. Other than that, I use dino oil. Usually Valvoline
20 - 50 in a very high mileage 403. Other than that, no additives.
