I'm tire shopping. Has anyone used the Toyo HT Open Country tires? Found a
good deal at $118 ea.

TIA

I've been running a set of Toyo Open Country tires since 2013 with not issues... well except I had my roof re-shingled the week after I got them and got a nice roofing nail in one. after patching it leaks at the rate of about 1 psi per 2 weeks. But no issues otherwise, I'd buy them again.

Billy, we used them and were pleased. Would still be using them but
couldn't find when we needed new tires.

I had Toyo HT Open Country tires on my GMC about 8-or-so years ago. They were the best riding/handling tires so far in my 12 years of GMC-ing.

I remember them as having to be rebalanced regularly to keep the smooth-as-glass ride and towards the end of their life, at about 4 years old, one of them developed a bubble in the sidewall. That's when they all got replaced.

If I could find them for $118 I would buy them again.

I have Nokian tires on mine. Bought from Amazon for less than 100 bucks each.
Now they are about $115.
Found them at Walmart less than $100 each:

I would double check the specs on that tire. It is listed as a passenger tire. I didn't see any load specs or number of plys. It should be a load range E tire.

As usual for Walmart the numbers don't all match up.
The rating is 112s for a load per tire of 2679 pounds at 80psi.

I must also say that I am partial to Nokian tires. I have them on the rv ,Vw Touareg, Alfa Romeo spider and have bought them for my kids cars.

I have used Toyo for about 65K miles in nine years. (I rotate them out two at a time, so all six have been replaced.) No a problems, ever. All still have a ways to go. Open Country also has an A/T tire. I had a shop I will never return to put two of those on. I was in a hurry- bad thing to be. They went on the front and they are hummers. They are on the front bogie and I wish they would wear out. Price sounds good. Make sure the DOT date is fresh and more or less matching.
