Remflex makes two sizes of exhaust manifold gaskets for the 455:
One part is 11-002, for 1975 and later with 2 3/16" tall exhaust ports.
and one part is 11-003, for 1974 and earlier with 1 7/8" tall exhaust ports.

Is this a difference between "G" and "J" heads? In other words, could I buy Remflex gaskets based on whether I am working on a "G" head engine vs "J" head? This would allow me to order the correct gasket prior to pulling the manifold off and measuring.

Thanks in advance,
Ty

Ka heads have the bigger ports. "J" and "G" have smaller ones. But, 40
years are a long time, and "stuff" happens.

I cannot remember the difference. I have had that question before. But the 11-003 should be the one that fits. That is the one i was installing on my 75 palm beach with 455.

Ty,

I have both a "J" head and a "K" head in my garage (sorry, no "G"). I just measured the height of the exhaust ports and both are identical at 1-7/8"
