Again, we need to consider the Meet The Breeds gathering, to include Skycraft and The Co-op and Ikea. The 2017 gathering was quite small. If there is any interest for 2018, we'll do it again. If not, I'll borrow my bud's guest room and do Meet The Breed only. Anybody interested?
Dates would be 10 - 14 December plus the show and Meet The Breeds the 15th and 16th for the dog lovers in the group.

Well, I can't let the Dixielanders Prexy upstage me. I'll pose my site soon as I rent it. I suspect Pryor will join us as well.

Awright, I got Site 20, Monday through the following weekend - 10th through the 16th. If the creek don't rise too high, I'll be motoring in from a show in Savannah the Saturday and Sunday before this week. I've two bunks in the GMC for anyone who wants to crash in one or both. Speak quickly, I'll release them to the Dog People in a couple of weeks.
As always, I'll do Almost Famous BBQ Chicken one evening and boil up some corn and toss a salad. Ever body else should feel free to cook one night if you want. If there are open nights, there's always the Korean joint. I'll be taking Meet The Breed folks to dinner Saturday night, likely at the lady's Italian joint in Old Apopka, and we can ask for as many seats as people want to go along. There is no requirement for anyone to cook anything, but if you're so motivated I expect it will get eaten.
We'll plan a day at Skycraft, a day harassing Bounds at The Coop, and let the women who wish do a day at Ikea. It's a two hour ride to Sirum's in Okeechobee, if anyone is interested, we could take a day and a car or two and run down there as well.
I'd admire to see some more faces at this one. Pryor? Nelson?? Hen Kenderson ?? Anybody?? Mommy? Join us for a night or a week or anything in between.
I note that the place is beginning to fill already, get your reserves in while you can.

OK. There are 8 spaces left in the 1 - 30 ring, and 20 in the 31 - 60 ring. Total of 28 out of 60, less than half 7 months out. The Dog People have found the place. Lake Louisa on the other side of town is equally full. For less than the entire week, there are likely a couple more sites at Wekiwa.
The point is, if you're considering joining us for the annual soiree, BOOK A SITE NOW. You can always cancel losing only the registration fee if you do so a couple of weeks out.
Hopefully our Wisconsin friend among others will make this the year to eat Almost Famous BBQ yardbird, harass Jim Bounds and get ideas at The Coop, impulse buy stuff at SkyCraft and Ikea, and generally kick back and relax. There are also dog shows all week in Orlando, and on the weekend, the big AKC show for All The Marbles Saturday and Sunday, plus ``150 different breeds of dog for you to interact with and learn about.

Soooo, in an act of purest optimism, I have made a reservation.
Let the wagering begin as to whether I am driving Wicked Mistress or using a tent...
76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center...

Thanks,
I should have enough time to get the interior back together, and log a few more miles of testing before December. We will see. It would be my first GMC event.

Joe, Show up with or without an interior! I promise that you will be welcome. If need be, I can bring you a GI style folding cot to sleep on while in your bare GMC. You might enjoy having a working heater or cube heater, even Florida gets cold.

I dunno it's a 'GMC Event' in that there's no affiliation with anyone's formal organization but ever body is GMC one way or another. Past or present. Also dog persons find the weekend interesting.
Note - the A ring is down to six spaces. Get there quick pr reserve in the B ring. It's close by.

OK, minor change. Due to lack of engine, I'll be staying off the campground. Beyond that, nothing changed. If I can use somebody's picnic table I'll bring the grill and we can do Almost Famous Chicken as planned. I don't know where the Saturday nite dinner is gonna be but I will. Nites we do dinner out I could handle the Ko-Rean joint or the Italian lady in Apopka or whatever isn't a chain joint. Did Wally's in Chattanooga (east ridge actually) with the Dixielanders, I'm ready to go back.
N.B. I will be cancelling the reservation in the next day or two.

Johnny, We can do set-up on my site. Grab an extra picnic table. I'll bring pop-up. Be nice to have second pop-up, if some one will bring another. Weather can be iffy.
We will show up Sunday, right after Sunshine Statesmen Rally.
Some body grab Johnny's spot.

Not going to be able to make it. I think I had space 23 if anyone needs it.
This work thing can be a real hassle sometimes...
