The 3:07 worked for years not towing. BUT. I never want to go on a trip without my 3:70 again. That final drive reduces the load on the engine, and transmission.. Plus the trans runs cooler. ( The 3:70 FD will warmer.) The power drive doesn't help the trans at all. Some put in the 3:21 FDs. That's of very little help. Just not much of a percentage change. The best bang for the most over all value is the 3:70. Bob Dunahugh
