Carl, I really enjoyed reading your trip report, and gee whiz, I am sorry
you had all that unhappy excitement! I was glad no one was seriously hurt
and you ended up having some fun at least. Frustrating as it is, we just
aren't 19 anymore.... 🙃
You mentioned getting sand and rocks out your coach.... We are interested
in going to the western desert states sometime. How much of an issue do
you find sand and dust and rocks, and is there a way to minimize it in the
coach? And without a vacuum cleaner, how do you effectively get it out of
nooks and crannies?
Thanks, Nancy

Nancy, even a 'bad' trip to the dunes is fun.
We have hardwood floors (PO Installed Teak parquet), so cleaning just a matter of shaking out the rugs (I take some old ones for this trip), sweeping the floors with a broom, and putting up with a little extra dust and dirt until we get home. You CAN get a 12 volt vacuum, we have one, if you really want to clean up extra well. There is always wiping down the floor with a damp paper towel too if you really feel the need. Another thing you can do to minimize the dirt you track in is to have a good mat outside of the door to wipe your feet on. Shake it out often.
I spent the past two days doing minor repairs to the air line , the maserator storage pipe, and the shower hose (a fitting cracked under the sink). Besides all that, I cleaned, swept, wiped down, and dusted, plus my son, Ryan, came over to wash the dog nose (his dogs) off the windshield, and help vacuum the dog hair out of the cockpit carpet.
Everything is back to normal again.
