Hi Guys, I have been trying to figure out a way to program and set the time for my Radio/Tape player.

I have a '73 Canyon Land and hopefully the pictures of the unit will show ..

I have tried many things and must have been missing the "secret formula"

Dutch, I don't believe that is the stock radio/tape unit, the PO or someone has changed it with a different
GM unit that has the same face/knobs dimensions.

Suggest trying to get the model number from the model tag, and do a net search for info as to what vehicle it came from
and a user manual.

Definitely not the original '73 radio. Looks to be late 70s / early 80s vintage for a GM car. Some combination of button press and hold will probably put it into "set" mode, such as pressing seek and scan simultaneously for a few seconds.

Sir, try manually finding the station you want then pull the button out and push it back in.

IIRC, key on, radio switched off, push and hold volume knob in while using the scan and seek buttons to change hours and minutes. You may have to push in on volume knob twice as one push may turn the clock display off and the next push turns it on.

Push hold am/fm and use scan up for minutes, scan down for hours

I think Peer got it righter than me...I haven't set one of those since 1995, but back in 1985 it was one or two a day plus forty other kinds of stereos... Smile
