Thanks to all of you who asked about, answered others questions about and steered folks to us, we sold our 1978 Royale today for our full asking price. Based on our experience the market is strong for first rate coaches among younger buyers. Our 38 year old buyer is excited to be the next steward to take care of this really nice GMC. I am confident it is in good hands and he will be a good addition to our community!

Now, for those of you looking for some inspiration. Check out http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/1973-tradewind-reno-rehab-143656.html A good friend and fellow furniture maker took on a project of restoring an Airstream. To most eyes it was in great condition when he bought it, but being Tony, good was not good enough. He tore into a three year full gut renovation that is chronicled in those posts. I think you will enjoy seeing how one person did it right. I have not read all the posts in that series but can tell you that the finished interior puts to shame all but the most lavish private air plane interiors.

As I have said before, both Sharon and I will remain active in the GMC community. At the last FMCA convention I was elected to serve on the national FMCA review committee which investigates charges of improper dealings on the part of any FMCA officers or directors. We both still serve as National Directors for FMCA (Sharon for GMCWS and me for GMC Cascaders) and I am also up for expanded participation in GMCMI if elected at the fall convention. We are off for a month in Europe (back to back river cruises) next week and then for a month or two in the new to us Prevost Country Coach before leaving for five or six months on the road snow birding and such this winter. Hope to see many of you on the road or at upcoming GMC rallies.

Jerry,

The operative words in your email below are; "the market is strong for first rate coaches."

I'll be selling Double Trouble but will make sure looks are as good as the mechanicals before it goes on the market!

Jerry, if you're a Dog Person, snopwbird towards Orlando the second week of December. A week and weekend of dog shows including the National Championsips and Meet The Breeds for all AKC recognized breeds. And a handful of GMCs and GMCers at Wakiwa Springs State Park. Join us.
