Hi,
I have had a 75 Avion for 14 days now. I have repaired several dashboard
wiring problems.
I am in Sacramento and would like to have a pro go over my unit to see what
I need to repair before taking it out for a long trip.
I have replaced the Chassis battery and the gen set starting battery seems
relatively new but the house batteries are shot and over 10 years old.
What batteries should I get to replace the 6-volt golf cart batteries?
Where can I find the recommended service interval data?
Who can I get to do the work I do not feel comfortable doing or do not have
time to do?

You are not far from Applied GMC. Give them a call, talk is relatively
inexpensive.

The any good 6 VOLT golf cart battery will work just fine. I typically get mine at Sams club.

Costco also has good deals on the 6 volt golf cart batteries. They carry the Interstate brand.

Most if not All of the Automotive/Truck/Marine/golf-cart batteries are made in the USA by 4 builders. Johnson Controls is probably the largest along with interstate all the batteries are basically the same except for the color and name that is put on the outside. There are a few batteries that are made offshore but they come from Japan and even less from China. It is not an item that can be shipped easily and cheaply, too much weight. All the recycled batteries in the US are broken down the lead and acid separated, lead melted and reuse and the acid reclaimed and reused. The cases are ground up and reused too.

In the North America, EverStart is private label for Walmart and DieHard for Sears and Kmart. These stores might have these private labeled batteries made by several manufacturers depending on the location to reduce shipping costs or to provide different types or sizes of batteries. Contracts with manufacturers might change.
