I bought new a Norcold 2 door 3-way refrigerator approx 10 -12 years ago
(I've lost the sales slip) that has always performed without any issue. It
has three buttons, on/off; mode; and temp with a display for each. To start
the refrigerator I press "on"; the mode button and it cycles through the
three options and settles on the best available option. This past weekend
it would scan through the options but it would display "no com" without
selection one of three options. I was plugged into 120 (and power was 120
at the plug in for the refrigerator), the LP tank is half full; and the
house batteries fully charged. All of the connections have never been
touched since installed.
Thanks for any ideas as it's hot here in Colorado.

With any older Norcold the first question that I would ask is the status of the recall on that appliance. Norcold has had major issues with fires and other things occurring that I would look to see whether or not it should be replaced or modified under that warranty Campaign prior to doing anything else to it.
Just the old fireman talking here, of course.

No com sounds like you've lost communication from the front board to the back board... first thing I'd look into is the connectors between them.. moisture can cause communication issues on these connectors..
