One of our trusted members filled me in on the terminology for rebuilt vs remanufactured compressors and indeed when I revisited all the options, you will find not only those options at a corresponding price difference, but also new A6 units as well (probably made in China). In the end I'M pretty sure that you get what you paid for. I'm keeping my original A6 and may re-clutch it at some point as a spare.
