About five percent of the time when I start the Onan the starter will stay engaged. If i pull connector on the solenoid the starter shuts off and if I re connect the wire the starter doesn't start again. I have a new dino board and new Onan starter relay from Jim K. I think that I must have a high resistance connection somewhere. I have cleaned the multi pin connector where the board hooks up to the Onan wiring harness. and the connection at the disconnected voltage regulator. when I meter across the connector on # 8 and # 11 I get .1 ohm with a Fluke meter. are there any other connectors between the flywheel alt and the 8-11 pins on the board? any other ideas ?
It was doing the same thing before I replaced the board and the K1 relay but much more frequently. I bought a door bell transformer but I would love to keep it stock. HELP its driving me crazy.

Check the flag terminals up at the voltage regulator. If bypassed untape the "twofer" where the power has to pass through.
