I rebuilt the dana air compressor for some reason it decided to break again, the piston shaft broke. So a friend rebuilt it for me and it took me awhile to get it back in. I was distracted by other projects. Today I put it in and it does not seem to stop just keeps running. I aired up the tank with the shredder valve at the tank and just past the compressor. I re-read the rebuild instructions and still am not sure why it wont shut off. I do not hear any air escaping any where. I can find no details to see if I wired something wrong, there is one wire I am not sure of.

NYou have to get a way to check the air pressure in system. The shut off pressure is a little high, so it may not be able to get to the 110-120 pressure the switch is set to. Otherwise if you are seeing 120 psi, and greater and it is still pumping you have a bad switch or it is wired wrong.

There is a gray or black box that has a diaphram that sense air pressure
and opens up the circuit.
The diaphragm goes out so you need to replace it.
It is about $30, find it on our web site under Rear suspension.

Get a gauge on the system, temporary or plumb it in, and check the pressure. Mine doesn't cut off until 135 psi., according to the gauge I plumbed into the system. Use soapy water to check for leaks you cannot hear. The power supply wire for the pump was routed directly from the pressure switch from the factory, but your P.O. may have installed a relay in between them like I did to reduce the current load on the pressure switch and the power supply buss energized by the ignition key. It is also best to run the engine while the compressor is on so it gets full voltage from the charging system. Let us know what pressure you reach and we'll go from there.
