The Greenberg coach is for sale at a salvage auction site. I hope someone in or near southern Illinois can rescue it before it is crushed for scrap metal.

Auction link is here.

Hey, this is the first I've heard of that coach being in a flood. Anyone
know the details?

Hi Russell Keith:
Mike Kelley here (in Central ILL.)
Also known as Mike/The Corvair a holic.
I may be interested in rescuing the old girl if she is driveable or fixable for a small amount. I have looked at the pic's, what does anybody know about her recent condition, and why she is in auction in Southern ILL.?
BTW - I am up to 4 GMC MHs at this point and don't have enough driveway space - so this would be strictly a rescue mission for me.

Hi Mike,
All I know is what's on the salvage auction website. I'm in Florida. I just hate to see a good GMC destroyed. This one has a heritage.

I made a bid on it. Anyone have any recent information on it. If it is drivable would be good to me. If not?

Well I thought I made a bid. Need a broker to bid on this.

Hi Russell:
Define heritage please.
Do you know if it is driveable?
It takes a broker and paying their fees to bid - I can contact one if I can find out enough info to be interested!

Please don't anyone take that "23,687 mi (ACTUAL)" as true.

I don't remember numbers, but do remember Dave Greenberg bragging about how
many times the odometer had rolled over. It was SEVERAL.

Regardless of that, it was a very well maintained coach in good condition
when Dave had it.

Hi Ken:
Do you know how long ago he let go of it and where it went from there?

If that is the coach of the Dave Greenburg that lived in South FL a couple years ago, he told me he put 300K miles on his coach including a months long trip around the country with his pre teen son and teenager daughter. He said his son still talks about it and his daughter is still mad at him.

Mike,

No, I don't remember how long ago Jan convinced Dave to drop out of GMCing
& sell the coach -- probably 5+ years -- and certainly have no idea who got
it next. Call me if you want his 'phone number. KH:(229) nine
thirty-eight 27 ninety-seven

John Shotwell might have a better idea; I think he took over the Registry
about the same time.
