Also - if there is pressure at the gas cap doesn’t that suggest that the vent system is inop?

On that same trip, we stopped at the Co-Op and they checked over the fuel system including the venting ... all checked out OK.

Noted on the gas cap, I will check.

That said, based on some of the data collected with the temps of those tanks (due to a combination of multiple things), it sounds like the temps there can be lowered with some basic shielding. To me having the temps of the tanks reaching 140+ is only escalating the vapor lock issues.
