Okay, it's summer and I decided to top up the duracool
in the a/c system.

Well, I have a leak in the a/c system. Right in the middle of the rubber
hose that connect to the accumulator/dryer.

Does any one have a replacement or fix for this hose? I have been to
3 different places and no one has hose fittings to replace the hose.

any suggestions?

I doubt you will find one at your conventional parts stores. Many AC shops can make any size hose you need.

Larry, my radiator shop makes new ac hoses. If this is the only leak you can cut the hose in the crack and use a barbed clamp connector.
Did you get your idle air straightened out?

I got the idle air problem straightened out. The hose has
a pretty big crack in it and I am guessing that if i try to
clamp it with a hose barb, I am going to have the same problem
in the near future.

I didn't realize that JimK had these so will probably call him
first thing Monday AM.

I had mine made at a local auto parts store in Valpo. It took about 10 minutes and was not expensive. There also is a local hydraulic hose place that will make AC hoses. I know of another auto parts store in Crown Point that makes them.

So try a local independent auto parts store, a local NAPA, a Farm supply like TSC, Big R, or Farm and Fleet, or call Blaine. One of them will know where to get a hose made. Bring your old one with you.

Larry,

Truck Services downtown on West Morris street can make you new hoses. They made two hoses for me, the suction line off the compressor and the line coming off the drier to the evaporator. Cost is about $75 each. They do great work.

It is all about the ends as we spend time looking for the correct ends from our suppliers.
I don't like what we charge for that and anything, but ordering in small quantities is main reason for high prices
