I was in need of a lock spring for a Zip-Dee awning and was told by a few people including the local dealer that they were out of business. I had tried to call their phone #s and got a recording telling me if I could answer 3 questions I would win a free Florida vacation, first question was " are you over 55 years old". That is when I hung up. I found it hard to believe that Zip-Dee was out of business. I called my friend Hubert Rowell whose business included being a Zip-Dee dealer. Hubert says sure they are in business but he would check. A little while later he called back and said yes they are still in business same place, same phone #s. Official name is Awnings by Zip-Dee. I tried to call multiple times and call would not go thru?? I would get a recording saying to try my call again. I then went to my cell phone provider web pages FAQ section and it said most connection issues could be fixed by turning phone off and restarting. So I did and the call went thru and I got my spring ordered. So Zip-Dee is in business and going strong.

Not strange. As far as I understand the original poster, the issue
wasn't with the company, but with the original poster's phone. But I
might have misunderstood the text.
