The Onan feeds the 14-50 Receptacle, and the coach's14-50 Plug and cord can plug into that or into shore power. It does not hurt the Onan in any way shape or form to run with no load. When exercise running the Onan it is slightly better to start, warm up, run with a load such as roof AC, remove the load, let it run a couple mins to shed excess heat, then shut down. This proves it really works and the load helps heat the oil to remove moisture.

Yes, it can be run without a load. In fact, that is how you usually turn one up and set the no load voltage (which is directly related to the RPM and frequency)..
It should cause no harm.
