Does the Rear Air Suspension mount on a separate "subframe" from the main chassis? It looks like it in all of the vague photos I can find? My coach isn't here at the moment so Im relying on the internet...LOL

Does anyone have the actual frame material specs? Width, Height, material thickness?

I think I read somewhere that someone has replacement frame material?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Yes there is an additional frame structure for the bogies. I think they call it an "H" frame. The only source of frame kits that I know of is Dan Stuckey, and I think his main frame channel material is a half inch taller than OEM, so not sure his "H" frame would fit in an OEM main frame. It should fit, just not sure.

I think the thickness is 3/16" for all the steel framing. The rails are 5-1/2" wide and the members that span them are 5" wide.

This company once had 5-1/2" and 5" square tubing in the correct thicknesses that could be split into channels and made into frames,

Steve,

No, The suspension bogie box mounts on the frame which is made up of many parts, some welded together, other bolted together.

The frame rails can be made from a 6" x 6" x 3/16" wall tube, 200" long (26 ft).
Split in half, took me about 3 hrs to do it.
The subframe rails are make of 1/8" material, it has to be 5.600" high (to fit inside rails. Has to be bent on a brake machine.
The cross members are bent (formed) from 3/16" material and are 5.312 high, the bogie "H"
is 2 cross members back to back.

Hope this the answer your looking for, or call me.
