Please do not throw rocks at me but the information I seek is so secret no
company will revel it for "liability" reasons.
*Bought a trailer hitch for said 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan with Sto n Go
but cannot find anywhere what to torque the bolts that hold it to the
frame to. Nothing came with the hitch by way of instructions.*
*If you guys can't help I'll just snug 'em up with my air gun to just over
100 ft/lbs??*
*Thanks guys. Remember I've asked more stupid stuff in the past *

You might be guided by a bolt torque table, see this link

Mike,
In a case such as this, the tension (what you really are creating with the assembly torque) is really not important as it is an assembly that you are trying to make seal. The real reason for the tension is two fold. First is that adequate tension will prevent the fastener from loosening with load cycles. The second is that it gets you some free joint shear strength with the inter-element friction. OK??
Now, all that said, if you dig around on the web you can find tables for maximum torque for common fasteners by specification (size, pitch and grade). If you don't want to trust a good reef on a wench, use the table.
Me, I'd just pull on it till the lock washers go flat then a little more.

Any Draw Tite, Blue Ox, Towmaster, etc hitch and tow bar equipment that I
have ever installed ALWAYS INCLUDED very specific torque specs for the
install. Be sure to read the installing instructions very carefully. But,
if it was a used hitch off of eBay or Craigslist, you might not have gotten
them. Check the websites for the manufacturer. Lacking that, use SAE torque
charts for the size and grade of fasteners that you are using. "Just a snug
pull on the wrench" don't get it done here.

Hard to believe but the Scotsman bought something new!
It was free shipping and when Fex Ex delivered the end was out of the box.
If there ever was some paper in there , it was long gone.
I'll use a torque chart and a little more..
I brought home 7 sheets of plywood with the seats Stowed and door closed.
This thing is almost as good as a VW minivan :)

Mike, I had a VW Kombi Double Cab w/the Conestoga option. Handy for hauling
stuff. Looks like the stow away mid and rear seat option on the mini vans
would be great, too. I know you will properly secure the fasteners on the
hitch, but my msg was kinda for the neophytes among us.
