Hi Guys, I am a proud new owner of my 1st RV. We found this 1973 Canyon Land.. Called Mello Yello. She seemed to be really good taken care of by her prev. owners.
I would like to get the original Paint Code for this Yello Color, so that I can do some tough ups.
Looking forward to hear back, and read some more awesome post and stories here on the forms.
Getting ready for out 1st big road trip in Aug, we have been getting used to her at some local RV site here around LA,CA
Hope to see some of you guys out there !!!

Dutch,
Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum....
I'm glad you found your way here because this a wonderful and supportive community. Any information available is available here and there are owners here with millions (literally) of miles and decades of valuable experience to call on.
Before you go too far, please set up a good sigfile, because this will help up to be more help to you. Start at <Control Panel> then click <Account Settings> and scroll down. Please give us a real name (because you will meet others and it is kind of silly when we don't know who you are). If it is really Dutch Marc, that is fine, but we already have a Dutchman named Marc here. A short about the coach (we do know about 73 Canyon Lands from your introduction, but 23 or 26 in important along with any major mods) because this may change how problems are approached. And include a geographic reference, there are several reasons for this the most important is that the half that don't read the forum get this as e-mail without the header where it says "Los Angeles" and this can matter as you may well already have a brand new old friend in striking distance.
Now, one of the reasons that I am writing all this is simply that this community is an uncommon thing. As said, it is a helping and supporting community that wants you to enjoy what your coach can do for you as much as we all do. There are now places you can go and things you can do that used to be impractical. Because the only other community I know is that of the watermen that are my world, I have taken to greeting new owners here much as a new owner or vessel is greeted there. So,
May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.
Welcome Dutch.

Welcome to the group Dutch !!
That is indeed one very special coach.
Art and Lori are wonderful folks and they did some great work on Mellow Yellow.
And the owner before them was the expert of all experts on all things Onan. Duane Simmons. Sorry to say he's no longer with us.
Give a shout out when you're traveling through Orange County... There's some folks down here that can share some stories.
Look up the GMC Pacific Cruisers and GMC Western States. Local clubs with LOTS of great people.

Hello Marc,
[Dutch mode ON]Leuk je hier te ontmoeten ... Je bedoelt Daniel .... [Dutch Mode OFF] ....
Nice meeting you here.
And yes we do have a MH in the Netherlands .... No GMC, But we travel as much as possible, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Switserland, Italy.
We love it. Also for short weekends, to the Rhein or the Shore of Belgium, the Netherlands or France.
Visited many times the Normandie and Bretagne .... We love it!
Since 2014 we visited each year the USA and last year Canada and the USA, wonderfull trip, National Parks, State Parcs, Route 66, Sedona Region, Moab, Bryce, Yellowstone .... what a nice country to live in .... And since I love the GMC since I first saw them, back in the 70's, as there came a few Midas GMC to Europe. I became a reader, follower, admirer etc of these wonderfull MH's.
Even visiting this year the GMCWS Rally in Pahrump, near Las Vegas, in the Death Valley region .... Whow ... Looking forward to it!
We fly this comming weekend to Vegas, picking up our rental MH and joining the Rally at Pahrump, 20 april.
If you are in the neighbourhood, I see you live near LA ? ..... come by and say "hello" ...
Bye, Daniel
