I am in need of a passenger side plastic dash panel (the one with the ash tray and cubby) the whole panel.
If anyone has a spare one sitting around or a parts coach with one let me know.
I'm in middle TN but willing to pay for shipping it.

I've got a perfectly good one, but after a botched vinyl attempt the contact cement just won't come off. No amount of solvent or elbow grease will get it off.

Try "Goof Off" available at most hardware stores - if does not work - I know of a parts coach that may have one.

Justin,

I feel your pain, I had 2 failed attempts.
I cleaned the glue with 3M #08984 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. It will not damage the part.
Work in small areas , pour some remover, let it soften the glue and paper towel it off.
May need to do it more then once.

Then get the only glue that works
DAP Weldwood Landau Top & Trim
HHR Solvent type UPC # 70798 00233 1 gl size
HHR Solvent type UPC # 70795 00095 5 gl size
High Heat Resistant Solvent Type (HHR) is what you need to look for, then buy a cheap pressure spray gun from HF to spay the glue.
Or pay to have it done, which in some cases, a few peaces, may be less expensive then the materials & tools to do it.

Check with Chuck Boyd. He may have one on a parts coach. Frank Jenkins makes a fiberglass replacement.

I've removed contact cement with Citristrip. It did an excellent job removing the glue that held the factory insulation to the firewall. It would probably soften plastic if left on too long.

Have you tried Goof Off and steel wool??
Saturate paper towel with Goof Off and leave it on the panel for a while,
then attack it vigorously with the steel wool.
Worked for us on the panels around the rear window.

Justin - I know you had mentioned that you were going to have the "door panels" professionally done. Is that who botched the job? What were the mistakes? I have mine out and I was thinking of taking mine to somebody. I would prefer to not make the same mistakes if they can be prevented.
