Greetings,

I thought I'd put a call out to the group to see if anyone has a referral for a mechanic in the Phoenix Arizona area. I can do or learn to do most anything but I'm limited with both tools and time. Initially, I'm looking for basic service that can be performed and then getting into the more advanced stuff as I find upgrades and general repairs I want to make. My own research with a few shops locally has been met with genuine reluctance by some to even touch a 40 year old vehicle - let alone a 40 year old RV.

Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance for your time.

I believe Steve is down in Sierra Vista (near Fort Huachuca). I hope that is spelled right.

You might try Dan Hensley in Apache Junction 480 4218272. . Good mechanic
but my last contact with him was about a year ago and he was having trouble
with the City because he was located in a residential area and doing
commercial repair work. He decided to discontinue his GMC work. He might
have some other suggestions

Steve Ferguson is in Sierra Vista, three hours from Phoenix. Dan Hensley would be your best bet for a GMC knowledgeable mechanic in the Phx area.

Also go to the Black list and contact people and see where they get repairs
done.

I'm here in Phoenix. I'd recommend Mesa Driveshaft for CV joints. I have kept Chucks Speed Shop in mind for bigger stuff that would be easier on a lift. And maybe we can help each other out on other things that requires 4 hands.
