I installed new caliper on drivers side, (original locked up due to
exposure ) .
I didn't go the 80mm. route as I am just trying to get it on the road
again. I can't seem to bleed it correctly and don't have the special tool
indicated in the manual.
Any suggestions?
I have driven it carefully and it stops ok?
My other question is: how well should the brakes perform? I would like to
be able to "lock them up", I've never had real great braking power what
are you all using.

Ron,
The brakes were designed for bias tires. On a heavy coach like at Glenbrook and radial tires, you will have a hard time locking up any but the rear without significant brake work. The manual says you need to push that pin in and I both have and have not at different times and can find little difference. If the pedal is solid and not spongy, that is probably as good as you will get. I have come to doubt that it is needed if either pressure or vacuum bleed the brake system.
A lot can be done with the brakes, but for my money the biggest bang for the buck is the reaction arm set. Even without doing the multilevel mod to get rear disk, this is an amazing improvement. I have a 9400# coach and I can lock up all 6 on dry pavement. It takes a "bend the steering wheel" panic, but it can happen.
I am glad you made it here. Please do us all a favor and include a geographic reference.
I missed your introduction back in November. I don't have to tell you about the community you have just become a part of, but I do have to welcome you in proper style even if you have had the coach for 20 years. So,
