I've been trying to get my coach ready for sale but have run into a
problem. The right airbag has a pinhole leak near the forward cone and
it appears there is a small crack in the bag right where the bag
contacts the cone. At any rate, it is leaking in both places and will
not hold air. It is my understanding that these bags are no longer made
and may not be available. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what my
course of action to be? I really am anxious to sell this coach before
the hot weather arrives here in Phoenix, which will be all too soon.
Also, I'm fast approaching my 80th birthday and my physical abilities
are somewhat limited.

Whatever you do, DON'T put tire slime in it to seal it. My PO did that (turned out to be an air plumbing leak) and the two year old bag blew out in my driveway about a month and a half after I bought the coach. Bad idea! It appeared that the Slime weakened the bottom of the bag, and softened it enough that it couldn't take the pressure.

Carl, I would never use Slime anywhere, especially not in an air bag. I
believe your PO was Bruce Tara, wasn't he? I have steel 16 inch wheels
on the coach that I bought from Bruce after he bought the Alcoa's. A
few months later, when I finally got around to mounting them one wheel
turned out to be 16 1/2. I never contacted Bruce -- figured that was
the price I paid for not checking them all when I bought them. I ended
up buying a sixth wheel from a wrecking yard in Mesa.

Yes, it was Bruce. I'm not sure he put the Slime in the air bag, but I am assuming it was him.
When I bought this coach from him it had 16" steel wheels on it. I later got a deal on a set of Jim K's Eagles from a friend who only used them to get the coach home, then gave up on the project when a better coach (with Alcoas)came his way. My old 16" steel wheels ended up on the 'basket case' coach.

Good. I won't have to play leakcheck with the ones I found buried in the
coach.

Ron, Thanks for your interest in my predicament but I think I have it
solved. Anyway, thanks for your response.
