Also, the gage sending unit is not at all precise. At best, it gives a fair
approximation of what's in the tank. There is a stick on gage that works on
temperature difference that is made for 20 pound cylinders that will work
fairly well. I used to find them at a BBQ store locally. I bet the Internet
marketplace would have something, if you have nothing better to do a 1:00

Bob,
The sender is 3 to 90 ohms. The high end is full, so of the instrument says
"Way Full" the circuit is probably open.
