Any of you netter's considering a new toilet should look at the weekly special on AdventureRV.net.
Dometic 300 high profile toilet for $96.

Many GMC'ers (including me-twice) have switched to this toilet. No negative feed back yet.

This is such a good deal, easy install, and great improvement that you may want to buy another GMC
just to take advantage of the bargain again.

A caution on this. If you are using this toilet in a Dry Bath Royale, be sure to measure height of toilet off of the floor and compare it to the height of the doors on the cabinet below the sink. If the toilet is to tall, yo may not be able to open the doors to the cabinet. Just say'n.

Hi Gene,
Do you know the minimum setback measurement for the toilet in the wet bath GMCs?

Based on the reviews of the 300 being “flimsy” I was thinking of going with the Dometic 320 instead...but there are many people with SOBs cautioning about setback.

Thanks,
Jim

There is an ez fix for the toilet blocking the doors in a dry bath Coachman
up fitted bath. Remove the doors. Use pieces of pegboard for doors. They
can be urethane coated, or painted, your preference. Make a trim surround
that is Dado cut on the inside to retain the pegboard doors. Then the doors
bypass slide instead of open out. Slick fix. Cheap, too.

Larry,

That was the case when I installed a Thetford ceramic commode in my Royale.
The solution was to raise the interfering cabinet door enough (about 3/8"
IIRC) to clear the commode. The raised door still covered the opening in the
cabinet. 'Raised the other door to match...

We sell several Dometic toilets, but I hate selling the 300 as the look of
the pedel makes it look lik a boat toilet. If you want to go cheap, it
looks that way. I prefer 8700/ 4300/4400
We can meet most prices out there.
