I've got a leak around the dipstick tube. I replaced it about 4K miles ago, with a O ring out of one of those boxes that has multiple sizes to choose from. Still leaks about 1 Qt in 4K. Where can I get the correct O ring for that tube. Part # anyone? TIA

I think this is it (from my order history). I've not installed them, as I found some OEM Delcos on ebay. I'll see if I can find the Delco part #.

Hey, Thanks for the quick come-back. I'm on the road now, so cannot order from Amazon, but will try to find one at some parts store or...what-ever.

Are you sure the trans is not over filled or the vent plugged? I don't
think the fluid should be trying that hard to get around the o ring.

Larry, I would also recommend putting a small amount of sealer around
it when you reinstall it.

Larry, Most of us that work on the GMC MH on a regular based always
augment the O ring with RTV sealant. Make sure all surfaces are dry of lub.
Also check the speedo gear assembly as they do leak.
Majority of the time, the fill tube leaks is when it sits for over a week
and the converter bleeds down and the fluid level goes up few inches .

The O-ring listed by Larry is not an ideal replacement. The original and correct replacement are a slightly oval in design not round.
Here is where you can get them.

and 4371A O-ring, GM/Ford/Chrysler Filler tube A904 (TF6) Mopar part Number 6030608

Just an update to the O ring issue. I got under there for a second time to look close at it and there was a regular stream of ATF coming out right at the base of the filler tube. I went to the local Chrysler dealership and ordered the Mopar part Number 6030608. Also got a O ring with the suggested dimensions from a NAPA dealer. I took a caliper to both and found no difference accept price. Chrysler dealer was 4 times as expensive. That's ok when you are talking under $5 anyway. So....I've got an extra. When I took the dipstick tube out, I found that because I had put a similar O ring from one of those all inclusive kits of O rings, the ring did not fit as it should and tore a little when installed. Also used the suggestion of putting a little silicone sealer on it when installing. That made it slippery so that it just slid right in with no extra force needed. Anyway, thanks to all that responded. Will find out if all is well in a couple of days when the converter leaks down enough to reach the tube hole.

Sorry about my comm earlier on your post. I though you were trying to seal
the stick to the tube not the tube to the trans

Hey Sully,
Any comment is a good comment. I appreciate anyone that gives the time to help me think these things out. I knew it was not over full, but did check the vent. It was a possibility as this has happened since I put the trans back in. who knows...maybe I bent the vent during the install. Anyway....thanks!!
