I read the forum at home and keep the digest running for when we are traveling as that can use less bandwidth and I can collect a lot in a short access time. This is great, but I just noticed that there have been some threads that went a ways like "Booster Clevis Pin" and "GMCMI Parts Exchange" that do not show up in the forum.
Is this a problem with my settings?
If so, what did I mess up recently? I can't find anything in the setup that might do this.

Thanks

Matt

OK, so it wasn't just me! I saw that happen a couple of times a week or 2 back as well in a thread I was participating in, but didn't comment since i thought I might have messed something up myself (being new to the party!).
The thread was still there, but some replies weren't posting (gaps in the thread), although they came through in the email feed.

I don't believe any of the email users posts are appearing on the forum.
It's been occurring for about a week.
When this happens in the past - we suddenly see a large download of older posts.

Dennis,

Thanks,
I hadn't connected that.
That also explains why the apparent forum traffic is so low.

I "think" the last time this happened, the email server had deleted or flagged off the address of the forum.

Are emailers seeing our postings?

I am on mail, and receive all your messages. My reply didn't get here, so I am rewriting a message on the forum itself.

Interestingly, while doing this, I noticed that the list of messages showed Ken Burton's message, while clicking on the thread did not show the Ken's message until after a few tries.

Very weird.

.... I observed also that weird behaviour ...

Perhaps to much GMC involved .... general mail cluttering ... LOL ...

But for all of you I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas en Happy Holidays.

I received an off net note from an GMCnet email user that said he is receiving our postings. So this is a one way email server to forum server problem.

Yes. I get Ken Henderson's when he dual addresses them (Sender and mailing list) but not on the Forum. I hope it isn't down for the count.

Thought everyone had migrated over to Faced Book, but looks like we are only running on 2 BBL's instead and need an adjustment.

I'll take a closer look at this when I get home from my current road trip, it will be a few days.

Looks like my hosting provider upgraded the MySQL server and that seems to have broken the e-mail import into the forum.

This is not any kind of a complaint about what you do for us, and I know from personal experience that it is not trivial.
None the less, I marvel at how many things know when you (general - not specific) can't deal with the problems that those things pick then to screw up.
I'm just glad that I trade between the digest and forum because I would not have noticed with out that redundancy.

Thanks Batman

Matt
