Thanks for sharing Harry, all of us certainly owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to those who served. It is the reason we are able to enjoy the liberties and freedom we so much cherish.
With deep Respect,
Mike

I personally think we need to consider a 2year draft for our young men to
instill discipline and respect.
It will cost us money, but it is needed.
Also our school system need more discipline so teachers can teach and we
need to accelerate level of math and science.
These things will aid in making America great, along with modified things
like health care.
I'm glad that I was drafted to serve for 2 years and 6 years reserve in US
Army.

Yep. Kids today don't learn the things they need to know that we learned as a matter of course. I already knew discipline and respect, but the three years I spent in the Air Force trying to do right by the taxpayers was the most aggravating and frustrating decade of my life. I have a DD214 that would get me discounts at lots of places, and free breakfast a Denny's today, if I ever get around to figuring out where I stashed it 30 something years ago...

I fought the fools in my chain of command, many of you fought real battles. God bless all you veterans that served honorably.

G'day,

I grew up in a German household where DICIPLINE was the word EVERY DAY! Until I was a senior in High School I had to be home and in
bed by 9:00pm. The USAF was a walk in the park discipline wise. After basic at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX I was sent to tech
school at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL where I was trained as a Mechanical Accessory Repairman and was made a barracks commander (green
rope). I turned the tech training into a fantastic job as a Field Rep for Hamilton Standard and working overseas for 25 of my 30
year career I made enough to retire at 55. THANK YOU USAF!

Regards,
Rob M.

I got into a minor amount of yogurt ones at Keeselr AFB for setting a Rope's rope on fire while he held it. I didn't think the kid was dull enough to hold it till it burned up to his fingers. He was.
