I've used loctite and 75lb torque for the cv joint bolts in the past and haven't had any problems, but have read about several folks having these bolts back out. Here's a solution I am trying...they worked great on a Terex loader recently. Not cheap but they will not loosen.

The sweep arc on my electric wipers is adjustable by moving the ball joint
connected to the motor toward or away from the motor. That ball joint is
secured using one of those NordLock washers. If one's ever loosened, no
one's bothered to let me know about it. That's worth the $0.57 each they
cost.
But, I'm surprised you're able to use them on the CV bolts because of their
OD.

The OD of the Nordlocks isn't an issue on my axle flanges. They extend only 1/64" or so beyond the flange of the fery bolts. Not sure whether other years had different axle flange castings.
