This maybe old news, but I came across this business website. They make/rebuild CV joints and axles.
They even have a listing for our GMC's
GMC TRUCK MOTORHOME 1973-79 Driver & Pass axle: CVO-8170 Out-board CV joint: C8529

I contacted this company back in 2007 and was told that they had an exclusive deal with JimB and JimK.
