Milks froze in the morn. Sometimes its the correct temp in the afternoon. Works better on gas than 110. I seem
to remember that there is a really good expert in Ohio and I'm close?????? Amish maybe????

Sounds like a thermostat issue
If its freezing up, the cooling unit itself if working
Is this an electronic ignition or a pilot light model?

Isn't there some kind of thermocouple that clips to the coils (fins) inside the fridge? It seems to me that Dan Gregg had that same problem with his Norcold a few years back and it was just a matter of relocating that clip, or it had fallen off, I can't remember which. Maybe you can find it in a thread search.

Figgered out how it works,,,,, no thermister. I think newer units have them. Mines an RM100. Pretty sure original. It has two wires or tubes under a clamp deep between two fins. One goes to a 115v switch that lines up with the thermostat on the inside. The other leads to a "valve' that regulates the size of the flame. Its lined up with the knob that adjusts the temp on gas. Both don't seem to work,,,,,,
