HI, Fun weekend, Took the GMC to Coronado Island NAS for the Annual Fleet Week Speed Festival. A couple of hundred vintage race cars, car show, etc. Awesome concert by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band. If you get a chance you should check them out http://www.ltdanband.com
Coach ran great all the way. The 4 new 6 volt batteries and the solar panels did a great job of keeping everything running. Only had to use the generator for the microwave a couple of times. Took the 35 Dodge Pickup to the car show. Got our ass kicked by some really high buck vintage Ford Pickups. These guys must truck these show cars in on enclosed trailers stuffed with cotton balls. Heck we just drive ours from show to show. Got a lot of questions about the GMC from attendees at the show and passed out some GMCMI website info. Great static military display from the folks at NAS Coronado. These “kids” who serve at the NAS do such a great job with the public. You could not ask for a more polite and respectful group. We owe them a lot.
A series of pictures of the Lt. Dan Band, vintage racers and the military display below for those that are interested.
