Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car, understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and torque is how far you take the wall with you when you hit it.

Make sure the cable is aligned properly.

That spring is a double spring (one inside the other) and it is available at Auto Zone, Advanced, or NAPA in the "HELP" section. Raise the engine cover and look to see if it is broken or missing first. You can also at that time make sure the the cable or something else is not binding.

Dorman part # 59207 around will work (AROUND $6.00) There are cheaper ones as that is a kit of springs. .

Also, if you have a cruise control, make sure the chain from the actuator to the carb linkage is enclosed in a metal tube. Otherwise the chain can hang on stuff anf stick the throttle.

Thank you all for the help.
yeah i was missing the spring, the universal kit did the trick for 6 bucks, i didn't have the L bracket though like some showed me pics of, so i took advantage of that bracket in the pic.
and yeah i removed the cruise control system years ago as it was rotted and rusted out.

You have the spring hooked to the wrong place on the Qjet. You have it on the cruise ball stud. It goes through the hole on the arm on the Qjet.
