Some time back, I recall a discussion on this board about Fantastic fans no longer being covered by their warranty. I purchased my coach in 2010 and the fantastic was installed by the previous owner. My guess is that it is about 15 years old. It has the power lift and rain sensor. The power lift stopped working although the motor seemed to be turning. The manual lift would also not work. I phoned the support line to inquire what parts I should order. The woman, after asking what the symptoms were, said that she would send me a new motor assembly and lift arm. I was expecting her to ask for a cc number but that did not happen. The parts arrived yesterday. No cost to me. Exceptional service.

They have been receiving lot of complaints from shop and customers.I have
ripped into them at shows, so they know me well.
Max fan is a better unit and they are realizing that they need to step up.

Thanks Jim. They recently sent me two new covers for shipping cost. The only questions they asked were what color and where to ship.

My problem exactly last summer. They told me that it was out of warranty but they would sell me the parts to fix it. Ha! I don't
think so! Cost was over $100.

I'll never deal with those pricks again.

I haven't had any warranty problems with Fantastic Vent. Over the years they replaced
two complete vents (with rain sensors), and recently two caps when one broke. They said
it had a lifetime replacement and since they were the same age, if one broke the other would
follow because of UV rays make them brittle with age. All this for only the cost of shipping.
I have no issues.

Leave it to me to draw the wrong person on the phone.

I replaced it with a premium Fantastic Fan with all the bells and whistles
that I'd bought from Scott Nehoda some years back. Remote control and
all. THAT is the worst POS I've ever experienced. Every time I really
need it to work quickly the remote has to be reset. To do that ya have to
take the batteries out of it. To do that ya have to find a very small
screw driver to get the 4 tiny screws out that hold the back on. Reinstall
batteries after 60 seconds. Then take the fuse out of the fan for a
minute. By that time I'm wiping sweat out of my eyes and wondering how I'm
gonna turn the fan on after I throw the $%&* remote as far as I can. There
is no way to run the fan motor without the remote!

You can move a few wires on the fan to bypass the remote control and turn it into a manual operating one which will still have the thermostatic control and the rain sensor.

My two have worked fine for many years and over the years I’ve gotten a lot of free parts from them and they even paid the shipping.

Hi Emery

So you've had the same trouble?

That is what I will do. Just aggravating to have to go back into it and
disable features after paying for the top of the line unit and their "once"
stellar warranty. Or maybe I'll give them a second chance and see if they
will do anything to help me this time. I've already tossed the one with
the bad motor and discolored fan.

My advice is to stay away from Fantastic Fan as they are not what they once
were.
