Pulled it out with a motorcycle jack, and a standard floor jack. Wasn't as simple as I'd wished. Thought of trying it with chains from above. Now thinking of drill, and tap the top plate of my Aluminum floor jack. Then bolt a 12 by 12 inch aluminum plate to the jack. That would give me a stable flat surface. This set up could help drop the gas tanks. Anyone tried this? Bob Dunahugh

I've used my floor jack with a 12x12 plate on it to drop the tanks from 3
different motorhomes and also to drop my tranny and final drive; have done
the tranny several times this way and would do it again if I have to.

ps: now at my Oregon home thru October. Have seen several GMCs in the
area, but no one has stopped in to take me up on my offer of free
hookups. Guess they don't have the Black list with them.

Jerry,

ps: now at my Oregon home thru October. Have seen several GMCs in the
area, but no one has stopped in to take me up on my offer of free
hookups. Guess they don't have the Black list with them.

Is that offer good for a GMC owner who sometimes travels in a 36' SOB?

I really liked KenH's single lifting bar, unfortunately, he published that just after I had my transmission back in.

I had used two saw horses in the cab to lift it into place.
